THE ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE D'ACCRA

The Alliance Française d’Accra has a mission of promoting French culture and language and cultural exchanges between Ghana and France.

We work in collaboration with French, Ghanaian and foreign partners in the private and public sectors, at city and regional levels, encouraging and accompanying the development of the cultural sector in Ghana. Today, the richness, diversity and vitality of this sector speak for themselves.
Our intervention policies are focused on three major areas:

- Presentation of French creative arts in their many different forms in the fields of the performing arts (music, theatre and dance), visual arts, books, the cinematographic heritage and cultural engineering.

- Interest in the world's cultures
, in bringing them to Ghana for cooperation and dialogue and more precisely work for the development of French/francophone cultures with the objective of promoting cultural diversity.

- Development of its expertise and initiatives
with France's cultural and cooperation network abroad, and with regional authorities, multilateral European, Francophonie or other organisations, the private sector, major French and foreign institutions and with all creative artists, authors, agents and partners of cultural and artistic exchanges.

The Alliance Française d'Accra supports performances and productions that reflect the diversity and the quality of France's and Africa's artistic offer in order to promote them, while meeting a demand for cooperation through the implementation of academic workshops and co-productions. Beyond the performances, these actions enable a dialogue of cultures, meetings with other audiences, or even hybrid creations, an exchange of savoir-faire, and better readability of actions, which are on-going.
