INFORMATION CENTRE

Ghana is an Anglophone country surrounded by francophone countries, knowledge of French as well as information on France and the francophone world are an important economic social and cultural tool for the citizen who are actors of development and modernity.

Thanks to the new information technologies available to the public. The library provides easy access to a dynamic and authentic knowledge on contemporary France. Dedicated to information and culture, the library is also a set up for the Franco-Ghanaian co-operation.

The library is open to all who wish to know France better and or find existing contacts in specific fields: students, teachers, researchers, business men/women, journalist artists… Books, magazines and DVDs can be used in the library or taken home.

Books, novels, documentaries, reference books, dictionaries, comics, beginner's reading books, newspapers, magazines, DVDs & video cassettes, films and documentaries, children's films, CD ROMs, French television channels ( TV5, France 2, TF1...) Internet for research

WHAT TO KNOW
The library gives you the opportunity to borrow books as well as DVDs. Registration is valid for one calendar year with a three month grace period for renewal after which member's name will be expunged. Membership card should be carried anytime one is visiting the library. The card gives you the right to borrow 2 books maximum ( 4 for families) for 14 days, this can be extended.

DVD CLUB
To borrow DVDs, one needs to buy a DVD Club card at GH¢10 which allows one to borrow 10 DVDs. Each borrowing is for one week. One week delay will be counted as double borrowing and lost, damaged DVDs will be paid for at the price it was bought.
The internet is for research work only. Chatting and checking of mails are not allowed.

SANCTIONS
Users who return their books late will be sanctioned.

OPENING HOURS
- Monday, Thursday from 2 pm to 6 pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 9 am to 6 pm
- Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
